Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.

Purpose of the Service

Information shared by the creator and Survivors Overcoming Silence is for educational purposes only. Individual advice will not be allowed and direct contact asking for advice or consultation in a personal or professional scenario should be avoided. Information provided by the creator is not used to heal, treat, fix, or provide any kind of individual services. Individuals must see a licensed professional for individualized treatment and support. Though the creator is a licensed professional, the information or educational services provided is not considered occupational therapy services or treatment of any kind. Survivors Overcoming Silence does not provide any legal advice nor do they give individual advice in personal scenarios. Please contact a lawyer or other licensed professional for advice of that kind.

Educational courses, online resources, as well as 1:1 educational coaching & consulting services are currently available for the SOS community, though are subject to availability. Refunds for all services and products are not permitted unless extenuating circumstances, and mutually agreed upon by the creator and client. Coaching services are to be used to add educational support and guidance through a client’s self-healing journey. Coaching and other products & resources offered does not substitute for mental health, physical health, or other individualized services, and it is strongly recommended to see a licensed professional for individualized treatment. Due to safety & protection purposes, a client is unable to complete or continue coaching services if experiencing a crisis or an emergency mental health or physical health scenario. At that point, client will be dismissed from coaching, and refunds will be dismissed appropriately. Emergency protocol should be followed by the client at that time, and services must be sought on own accord – as SOS and the creator does not have access to individual resources in the client’s area. The SOS Resource page (on this website) houses multiple crisis hotlines, and websites that may be used as a resource in this time and as needed.

Safety

Survivors Overcoming Silence is a platform and community for educational purposes, and is not considered medical advice. Survivors Overcoming Silence is also not a replacement for therapy or other mental health services. If someone is struggling, they should consider individualized treatment with a licensed medical and/or mental health provider, and should not rely on Survivors Overcoming Silence as it is not considered treatment of any kind. Should someone or someone they know feel unsafe, they should contact local authorities for immediate assistance. If there is a medical or psychological emergency, please dial 911 or other emergency hotline for assistance. Please see the resources tab for specific hotlines available if in crisis (United States only).

Trigger Warning

Information shared by the creator and provided within the Service, while not shared with mal intent, may be considered harmful or triggering to others. People are advised to navigate, read, and interact at their own risk with online and paid resources and services. The creator nor Survivors Overcoming Silence are responsible for any potential harm to viewers or members. Triggering topics may include but are not limited to: abuse, sexual assault, traumatic experiences, legal proceedings.

Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our Service or a third-party service.

You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (paid and unpaid), features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Survivors Overcoming Silence and its licensors. Data on this website and other educational or scheduling platforms by the creator should be treated as such and cited appropriately. Legal repercussions may apply if this policy is violated. Personal and professional experiences are shared as awareness and educational purposes. Stories cannot be shared as their own & intellectual property rights should be followed. The information shared on this website and Service is original content unless otherwise stated. The information shared on Survivors Overcoming Silence platforms, websites, and within designed products are considered intellectual property of the creator and Service. Information is not allowed to be sold, copied, distributed, or used without explicit written permission from the creator.

Social Media Re-post Guidelines

Sharing public content on social media platforms is encouraged, however one must do so with respect to the creator and intellectual property. Shared information should include a direct link (e.g. tagging on photo, in caption, or in comments) to the creator’s content to allow for proper citation. Posts, images, etc. may not be modified by anyone other than the creator. Logos may not be removed from content shared. If sharing a caption or quote, one must use quotations to note the creator’s words, and again, tag with a direct link to original content. Thank you for being respectful.

Affiliate Partnerships

This website may link to third-party affiliate links, meaning at no cost to you, the creator of Survivors Overcoming Silence may receive a small compensation for your purchase of the recommended product(s). Subsequently, a unique code may be provided that may allow for discounts and/or as affiliate links. Visitors may choose whether or not to use the link and/or code with no consequences.
